About our pumpkins

27th October 2024

Dear Customers

We recently had a few people ask us why we don’t grow our own pumpkins on the farm.

So we thought we would explain.

Our land is not the best for growing pumpkins to host a festival every year.

Why ? Well we would need to rotate the crop on fields away from the farm, therefore making the festival unachievable and impacting our own crops.

However there is farm not to far from us grows pumpkins on their land,  so we decided to purchase from them directly, helping both us and them to do the things we love in the farming community. We bring them in for you to enjoy, a little more expensive than the supermarkets but that is to help us cover the real costs to the farmers.

No waste as well as any of the pumpkins we cannot use are a treat for the animals around the farm..

We hope this helps explain how we work as a community of farmers to make a super pumpkin festival for you.

Thanks for asking, we always try to make our real working farm a place for you all to enjoy.
